Residual current circuit breakers (RCCB) switch off the power supply when dangerously high fault currents occur. They thus protect persons, animals and installations. DFS 4 are two- or four-pole residual current circuit breakers for single- or three-phase mains. In the standard version, the compact devices are four pitch units narrow. They are available with many different residual current types and designs at rated currents up to 125 A. The large double-level terminals can also accommodate large conductor cross-sections. The tripped position of the multi-function switching toggle facilitates troubleshooting. The free labelling software helps with labelling. Type A switches are pulse and AC current sensitive. This function is independent of mains voltage. Units in standard version are designed for monitoring circuits with a rated voltage of 230 V/400 V and a rated frequency of 50 Hz. Excluded is the use in TN-C systems and for the protection of systems in which electronic equipment can cause smooth DC residual currents or residual currents with frequencies not equal to 50 Hz. Comprehensive protection is not provided here. For such applications, we recommend our all-current sensitive residual current circuit breakers (type B or B+).
