The digital remote control unit, which serves to detect the temperature in the room and as a transmitter, works as a room thermostat in combination with the Vitramo VTX-E, VTX-EU and VTX-ES radio receivers. One or more radio receivers that are directly connected to a heating element can be assigned to a remote control unit. The remote control unit with weekly programming and individually adjustable daily schedules has the following operating modes: Automatic, Comfort, Setback, Party, Holiday, Frost protection, Off. Setting range 5 - 30°C, operating voltage 2 lithium batteries LR03/AAA 1.5V, protection class IP30. As the weekly programming is extended by the adaptive control of the heating start, the digital remote control unit fulfils the ecodesign-compliant operation of stationary heating elements and dark radiators without further correction factors such as window contact. If the installed power exceeds the specified switching power of the respective radio receiver, then the heating elements must be switched via additional load relays type LS-E.
