The OD-LE oil nozzle from Danfoss is used for atomising heating oil in pressure atomiser burners.
The oil nozzle has been improved in key points and at the same time the requirements of the CEN standard have been taken into account as far as possible
. All oil nozzles have been given a nozzle housing that enables easy installation and adjustment of the ignition electrodes
. The nozzle has also been modified with regard to the test point, the marking and the filter assembly. Due to the special LE function, the LE oil nozzles
are not covered by the CEN standard like the existing nozzle programme. Nevertheless, this European
standard is taken into account as far as possible. Danfoss oil nozzles, type LE, are manufactured with different spray angles and spray patterns.
The LE system consists of a special series of oil nozzles with a built-in shut-off valve and a
special oil burner pump with a built-in overflow valve that can be switched on and off. The system is used
with small pressurised atomiser burners, where spraying when switching off and drip formation due to preheating or back radiation should be avoided
. This eliminates the risk of droplet formation, especially in burners where a preheater is used. This effectively prevents
soiling of the nozzle bore, nozzle nose and burner head, as well as odour nuisance.
