Heating cable hot water temperatureMTHW is a self-regulating heating cable that compensates for heat loss from hot water distribution systems. As soon as a hot water tap is not used continuously, the water in the distribution pipes cools down and the heat is usually lost on the way from the source to the tap. MTHW does not overheat and does not scorch, even if the cables overlap.- For hot water pipes- Max. heating circuit length at 16 A: 128 m- Colour: brown- Dimensions: 13 x 6.8 mmElectrical trace heating not only guarantees frost-free operation, but also a uniform temperature (operating temperature) of pipes and tanks. The self-regulating cables consist of two parallel metal wires encapsulated in a semiconductor polymer PTC. When electric current is transported through the semiconductor polymer to the other copper wire, a closed circuit is created. The current heats the polymer, which increases the resistance value. If the temperature of this conductive core increases, the electrical resistance decreases and consequently the temperature also decreases. This process takes place at every point along the cable. This guarantees energy efficiency and prevents overheating or burning due to overlapping of the heating cables.
