Surface-mounted thermostat type series ATHProtection class IP 54Thermostats control and monitor thermal processes. The devices in the ATH series are available as temperature controllers TR, temperature monitors TW, safetytemperature monitors STW (STB) and safety temperature limiters STB. In the event of a fault, the STB switches the monitored system to a safe operating state. Surface-mounted thermostats work on the principle of liquid expansion; a microswitch serves as the electrical switching element.Temperature controller TR and temperature monitor TWIf the temperature at the temperature sensor exceeds the set setpoint, the microswitch is actuated via the transmission mechanism and the circuit is opened or closed. If the temperature falls below the set setpoint (by the switching differential), the microswitch is returned to the initial position .Self-monitoring of the safety temperature limiter STBand safety temperature monitor STW (STB)If the measuring system is destroyed, i.e. if the expansion fluid escapes, the pressure in the diaphragm of the STB and STW (STB) drops and permanently opens the circuit. Unlocking is no longer possible. If the sensor cools down to a temperature below approx. -20°C, the circuit is also opened; if the temperature rises above approx. -20°C, the STB must first be unlocked manually using the restart button. The STW (STB) is restarted automatically .Restart interlock for the safety temperature limiter STBIf the temperature at the temperature sensor exceeds the set limit value, the circuit is opened and the microswitch is mechanically locked. Once the temperature falls below the danger temperature by approx. 10 % of the scale range (approx. 15% for limit value setting > +350°C), the microswitch can be unlocked manually .- Immersion tube with DN 15 (1/2") connection- Sensor: 8 x 150 mm- Max. switching current: AC 230 V/10 Amp.
