The flow-controlled pipe separator GB (old designation DIN 1988- 4 installation type 2) is used as a safety fitting in accordance with EN 1717. Its task is to prevent back pressure, backflow and back siphoning of non-potable water into the public supply network. Pipe separators of this type can be used up to liquid category 4. Fitting requiring maintenance in accordance with DIN EN 806-5.
