Description The C.A 773 voltage tester is an indispensable tool for the electrician to check the absence of voltage on a circuit, device or installation connected to the mains before any intervention. The tester complies with IEC standard 61243-3, edition 2, and is approved for all installations up to 1000 V CAT IV, indoors and outdoors. To meet the different regulations of some countries, the voltage tester is available in two versions: with or without specially protected test probes IP2X. In addition to the LEDs, the C.A 773 has an illuminated digital display in which the measured values are shown. It is also equipped with a redundant safety system: the LED warning light "ELV" flashes as soon as the applied voltage exceeds 50 VAC / 120 VDC. The integrated self-test on the C.A 773 monitors the proper functioning of the electrical circuits, the power supply, the displays and the measuring leads. The unit is practical, simple and quick to use, and the rotating field direction test is performed by microprocessor on only two conductors. Testing of the tripping threshold of residual current circuit breakers (RCD) is additionally secured by two-hand operation. The continuity test with visual and acoustic indication complies with the recommendations of Annex B of the standard. Phantom voltage detection and single-pole phase indication are also provided. The test probes and the test leads are detachable. The C.A 753 socket adapter is available as an option, which considerably simplifies the checking of 2P+E European sockets and of protective contact sockets.
