AdBlue® is a urea solution that is injected directly into the exhaust gas to reduce pollutants. AdBlue® works in the catalytic converter by converting the nitrogen oxides from the catalytic converter into atmospheric nitrogen and water vapour. Both are natural components of the air we breathe. In combination with SCR technology, AdBlue® also optimises fuel consumption and particulate emissions from engines. This can significantly reduce the proportion of soot particles in the exhaust gases.
