The router forms the interface between KNX installations and IP networks and works according to the KNXnet/IP specification (tunneling and routing). The IPR/S can be used as a fast line or area coupler (routing). The complete filter table for all main groups (0-31) can be loaded. KNX devices can be programmed via LAN with the ETS. For this and for other clients, 5 tunneling servers are available. The IP address of the IPR/S can be set permanently or received from a DHCP server. Power is supplied via 12..30 V DC or alternatively via Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) according to IEEE 802.3af Class 1. As an alternative to KNX standard communication (multicast), up to 10 IPR/S 3.1.1 can communicate via unicast.
